After saying he would like to fight Erislandy Lara several times in the media Jarrett Hurd may very well get his wish. 3KingsBoxing.com has learned that a possible unification fight between the two could take place as early as April or May.
Hurd has recently told anybody that would listen that he desired a chance to unify against Lara. He’s posted it on social media, mentioned it interviews and all.
Lara finally responded to Hurd’s pleas earlier today by tweeting this:
No more begging you got it! Careful what you wish for! Don't forget I pushed for this fight ???

Lara is coming off an easy victory over former US Olympian Terrell Gausha back in October on Showtime. The fight headlined a card that featured all three junior middleweight champions that are under the PBC banner.
Hurd was in the opening bout on the same card. He faced former champion Austin Trout and stopped him in the 10th round. Trout previously lost to Lara as well back in 2013 by unanimous decision.
