Eubank Calls Eddie Hearn & Frank Warren Scumbag Promoters
Top-rated middleweight Chris Eubank Jr (33-3, 24KO) applauds Turki Alalshikh for not being a scumbag promoter like Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren, and Kalle Sauerman. He didn’t hold back when attacking the promoters at the press conference.
After sitting out for over a year, Eubank Jr returns on the undercard of light heavyweight champions Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol’s battle for undisputed. Eubank Jr has had dealings with the promoters above before, which has left a bad taste in his mouth.
HE WENT ON A VERBAL ASSAULT
When asked why he is with Boxxer, it shouldn’t be surprising that Eubank Jr’s statement went viral on social media. He especially targeted British promoters Hearn and Warren to their face at the press conference.
“Because every other promoter out here is a scumbag that’s why. Frank Warren [Queensberry Promotions] behind me been lying and cheating his way through boxing for the last couple of decades.
“Kalle Sauerman [Wasserman Boxing] had me locked up in a terrible contract for the last two years. Squeezing money out of me at every opportunity. Scumbag.”
“Eddie Hearn and Frank Smith [Matchroom Boxing] did everything they could to try and make this fight against Conor Benn. After knowing that he was on steroids.”
“The only promoter I know for sure that isn’t a scumbag is his excellency Turki Alalshikh.”
He isn’t the first to sing the praises of the Saudi power player who has been a major influence in the sport. Alalshikh has won over the boxing community by siding with the fans over pushing the agenda of the promoters.
It seems Eubank is enjoying the treatment from dealing with the Saudia. But, he better put on a sensational performance after making these comments.
