Feifilimai Faiva is the new female phenom
The internet has been on fire as hidden gem Feifilimai “Fei” Faiva (3-0, 2ko) has been dubbed the female version of legendary fighter “Iron” Mike Tyson. Moreover, outside of having the same fighting style as the Hall of Fame fighter, she also has the power. Furthermore, she fights out of the Cus D’Amato gym in Catskill, NY.
Fei’s knockouts are instant highlight reels on any social media platform, and of course, with exposure will come attention.
3kingsboxing affiliate Brawler Sports Media was able to speak with the rising star and manager Kyle Lyles. First, the young knockout artist expressed what it means to represent the famous Cus D’Amato gym.
“To represent this gym it takes a lot. It takes a lot of effort to actually master this style, and that is something I continue working hard to get to that point. Even when I do get to that point, I am still going to hone in and get better at what I do.”
Lyles discussed how they connected and the plans on moving the 18-year-old phenom at the right pace.
“Fei was an amateur here at the gym when I came here with Alvin Varmall Jr., who was a pro. So she stayed in the gym and as I was managing Alvin and working with him, it just kind of fell in place that once she was ready to turn pro, I assisted her with advising and moved into that roll.”
“We are going to move Fei slow, we are not rushing her in any way. She just turned 18-years-old, she didn’t have a lengthy amateur career, and for many reasons, we elected to go pro. But there is no rush with us. She is going to gain experience as a pro, we are going to move her nice and slow.”
The future is bright for this young lady, and she has the right team behind her to help usher things in the right direction. Moreover, the secret is out, and the boxing community is eager to see more.
