WBSS Location Picture Is Getting Clearer
Asthe WBSS heads intothe semi-finals, datesand locations are startingto take shape. Tournament organizer Kalle Sauerland hinted earlier today at wherethe George Groves vs Chris Eubank Jr fight may take place;
“For Groves v Eubank Jr. we are looking to hold the fight in London or Manchester,” Sauerland said.
When pressed for more details Sauerland admitted that the O2 and Manchester Arena are his top two choices for Groves-Eubank while he’d like to see Callum Smith vs Juergen Braehmer head to the Echo Arena in Liverpool or Germany.
These seem to bepretty obvious choices for these fights, as both Groves and Eubank are British fighters while Braehmer could likely get some pull in his native Germany.
Earlier in the week he announced the fights were likely to take place around Februaryand now we have an idea where. I’m sure I speak for almost all other boxing fans when I say we’re just readyto seethe fights!
