Jamel Herring responds to the notion he avoids big challenges!
WBO junior lightweight champion Jamel “Semper Fi” Herring (21-2, 10KO) caught wind of a previous interview 3kingsboxing.com conducted with supposed opponent “Prince” Albert Bell (16-0, 5KO) where he heard the former state he was avoiding tough challenges.
The statement came when the “unranked” Bell did not get the shot at the champ he thought he deserved and the opportunity was instead given to WBO #11 ranked contender Jonathan “Polvo” Oquendo (31-6, 19KO). Herring felt the need to “clear the air” about him avoiding the biggest challenges in his division.
The champ will defend his title for the second time against Oquendo on July 2 in “the bubble” at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada!
