Jack Catterall Reminds Josh Taylor, He’s Got Next!
Josh “The Tartan Tornado” Taylor now sits atop the junior welterweight division after grabbing the last two belts away from former unified champion Jose Ramirez. With the win, many opportunities await. This includes WBO mandatory challenger Jack “El Gato” Catterall. El Gato wants to see if the undisputed champion is a man of his word!
Catterall was the mandatory challenger for Ramirez. WBO President Paco Valcarcel ordered Ramirez to face Catterall. As consequence, fans were about to be deprived of the undisputed bout they craved. Fortunately, Catterall removed himself as a roadblock by agreeing to take step-aside money.
Taylor was so elated to hear the news that he took to social media and promised to reward Catterall for standing down to allow the fight for undisputed to happen.
“Let’s get it on. Can’t wait for this. Huge, big up to my teammate [Jack Catterall] for agreeing to step aside and let this massive fight happen. 100% you get your shot after I whoop Ramirez’s ass.”
Well, it seems that El Gato is about to hold the newly crowned undisputed champion to his word. The WBO #1 contender immediately took to social media with a reminder to The Tartan Tornado: he is waiting for his opportunity.
