Jadier Herrera Wipes Out Oliver Flores With A Body Shot
Rising lightweight undefeated prospect Jadier Herrera (16-0, 14KO) obliterated veteran Oliver “Trombita” Flores (31-6-2, 20KO) with a vicious body shot in the third round.
The veteran Flores wasted no time in jumping on the undefeated Cuban. He was successful in the early rounds when he confused Herrera with his movement.
After receiving a reprimand in the corner, Herrera came out guns blazing and fought brilliantly off the jab. He started attacking well off the front foot while throwing combination punches that halted Flores’s momentum.
In round three, Herrera had taken control of the fight and kept up the attack. Trombita tried to fight back but was sent crumbling to the canvas from a punishing left hook to the pit of the stomach.
Despite barely getting up, it was clear Flores hadn’t recovered, and the referee quickly waved off the fight. This was the type of performance that Herrera needed to get a serious buzz from boxing fans. In addition, he showed why his team talks of challenging for a world title in 2025.
