Jared Anderson Open to Facing Jeremiah Milton Next

In his last tour of duty, heavyweight contender Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson (17-0, 15 KO’s) faced #14 (WBO) ranked fighter Ryad Merhy (32-3, 26 KO’s). Heading into this duel, Anderson was the overwhelming favorite and predicted to win, which turned out to be the case. With this out of the way, The Real Big Baby is in need of his next opponent. Let him tell it, he is open to facing Jeremiah “DreamLand” Milton (11-0, 7 KO’s).

To spice up this potential match-up a bit more, Milton is currently being trained by the extremely visible chief second Bill Haney. Haney is also the father and trainer of two-division champion Devin Haney. To connect these dots a bit better, Anderson is currently a fighter in the Top Rank promotional stable and has pledged allegiance to open Haney rival Shakur Stevenson.

So, in being loyal to Stevenson and crew, The Real Big Baby has also taken to belittling everything Team Haney. Ideally for Milton, this embraced animosity could lead to a major fight opportunity.

“My eyes on are bigger opponents. But I mean if it makes sense and they [Top Rank] will accept it then I am with it too. I’m all for the money fights, as we can see as we can tell, its all in my words, I’m all for the money fights . . . but Jeremiah Milton is not a money fight, whatsoever!”

IS THE TIMING RIGHT?!

Honestly speaking, Milton does not bring much to the table in terms of notoriety or fan appeal. At the same time, The Real Big Baby is caught in a tricky bag of being toward the top of the totem pole but not perfectly in position to land big prizefights with names such as Oleksandr Usyk, Joseph Parker, Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua.

Of course, anything can happen in the zany world of boxing’s backroom politics. Yet, as things stand at the moment, Milton does not stand an excellent chance of chucking knuckles with the highly touted Jared Anderson.

“He was literally one of my fans, when I fought in his hometown . . . in his city and he was a fan and all, ‘I remember when we used to spar at OTC’, this and that, dapping me up and everything. Now you get with this old-head and he like, ‘he ain’t like that!’ And he couldn’t even say it in the camera, like go on bruh, come on man, don’t let that old-head hype you up. I still got video’s of me fucking him up in sauna suits!”
