Jessica McCaskill tells Cecilia Braekhus to Step-Aside and Allow the Katie Taylor Rematch
Shortly after defeating former long-reigning undisputed welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus, the division’s new Queen Jessica “CasKILLA” McCaskill (9-2, 3KO) chatted with 3kingsboxing.com. Not only is she an undisputed champion but she is now a two-division unified champion in just eleven pro fights.
To sweeten the accolade even more, she boasts only 25 amateur bouts before turning pro. Therefore, she has become only the fourth ever women’s undisputed champion behind Braekhus, unified junior middleweight and undisputed middleweight champ Claressa Shields and Undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor in less than half the overall experience!
Furthermore, she is the first woman to win the crown from a reigning undisputed champion!
Speaking of Taylor, McCaskill wants nothing more than to avenge her 2017 loss to the lightweight Queen. She tells 3kingsboxing that Braekhus should not entertain an immediate rematch and allow her to pursue Taylor on HER TERMS!
