Daniel Dubois and Nathan Gorman leave the excuses at the door!

Daniel Dubois and Nathan Gorman will do battle for the British heavyweight title at the O2 Arena on July 13. Heading into their prize match, the war of words between the undefeated, top British heavyweights continues to rise.

The winner of this fight will literally be crowned the next big heavyweight star out of the UK.

Dubois Chimes In

Both men appeared very confident in a recent interview with iFL TV. Dubois was asked about the example they were setting by putting so much on the line.

“Yeah, fighters gotta fight each other, we are in this business. We need each other. Of course, fight, move on, climb the ladder. It’s important that we get it on.”

The devastating puncher would also double down on previous comments about this being an easy fight.

“I truly meant that! I know I’ve got to just be right, perform right, display my skills for the night and get the win.”

Gorman Responds

The always-quick-witted Gorman wouldn’t let this go unanswered.

“God help him, I don’t know. Listen, if that’s what makes him sleep easy at night, fair play to him. From what I’ve prepared in the gym, this definitely isn’t going to be his easiest fight. I’ve gone through hell and back in the training camp.

“When I walk out in the O2 July 13, there will be no excuses whatsoever. He will be fighting the best possible Nathan Gorman.”

Many pundits and fans can agree that given today’s landscape in boxing, both men deserve tremendous credit for taking a fight this dangerous early in their respective careers. It’s refreshing to see something like this happen.

Hence, why this fight has caught the attention of the boxing community. The heavyweight division is on fire and the winner will be added to a new breed of opponents that has been pumping life into the historical giants of boxing’s most-watched division.
