Teofimo Lopez Calls Eddie Hearn and Devin Haney weasels!
IBF lightweight champion Teofimo “El Brooklyn” Lopez (15-0, 12KOs) has fired back at WBC champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (24-0, 15KOs) and his promoter Eddie Hearn.
In an interview with iFL TV ,Lopez went in depth discussing his rival Haney and responded to Hearn, who claims no offer was sent.
HOW IT ALL STARTED!
This back and forth between Haney and Lopez started when the IBF champion responded to a tweet made by Devin Haney telling him “shut the fuck up kid, damn your annoying”. That stems from Haney stating he’d bet seven figures on himself against anyone in his division.
HEARN CLAIMS NO OFFER SENT!
“Teofimo you must have put an S on Hearn because no one has ever reached out to me about a fight with Devin Haney. WBC and IBF unification if you want it next then let’s go, it’s a hell of a fight!”
HANEY AND HEARN ARE WEASELS!
“Why are they such a weasel?”
“Why y’all such weasels man? Such a weasel. I ain’t got nothing else to say man. They’re just weasels man, I look at it like that man.”
Lopez clearly tires of the back and forth with Haney and prefers to settle their differences in the ring.
One can only hope that these two fighters will keep this same eagerness when it comes to the negotiation table. Then, the only talking that’ll matter is when they put pen to paper.
