Lucas Bahdi Chews Up Gutierrez And Calls For Tank Davis Next
In his latest at bat, lightweight boxer Lucas “Prince” Bahdi outlasted and out-classed a tough, game Roger Gutierrez. With the win, the #5 (WBA) ranked Bahdi has his eyes set on WBA champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
“Look, I am after the champion. Obviously Jake [Paul] is fighting him [Davis], so Jake don’t beat him up too bad! I still want him, too! Like I said from the beginning, I want the best, I want the champions, so let’s go baby!”
NOT BLOODY LIKELY!
The chances of the relatively little-known Lucas Bahdi landing a fight with Tank are slim to none. To begin, if Davis was going to do the “right” thing, he would be staging an immediate rematch with Lamont Roach. However, in leu of facing Roach, Tank obeyed his Final Destination-esque premonition the premiere duel stunned him with and has opted to face boxing pirate Jake Paul instead. This clearly leaves Bahdi waiting in line.
Still, even if Tank returns after the Paul spectacle, he is most likely to once again dance with Roach. If not Tank though, Bahdi might want to set his sights on #2 (WBA) Andy Cruz or #1 (WBA) Floyd Schofield. While they are not champions, both have a ton more media exposure and notoriety than Bahdi. They also are stuck in the trick bag of not being able to face the sitting WBA champion, Davis. So, why not each other?
