Jessica McCaskill

Erica Anabella Farias vs Jessica McCaskill, WBC title –

WBC Female Super light weight champion Erica Anabella Farias (26-2, 10 KOs) put the title on the line against Jessica McCaskill (5-2, 3 KOs).

The first two rounds saw the champion showing experience, which would be a huge factor. She kept moving and using the jab with counters, while McCaskill was very aggressive; landing the right hand to the body and head.

In the middle rounds, both women did some good work. The champion made use of the jab and the challenger strung together good combination punches. However, the champion was fighting off the back foot.

In rounds seven & eight, McCaskill was coming on – landing uppercuts followed by body shots. However, the champ turned it around with beautiful counters.

The last two rounds were a matter of who wanted it the most. Farias came out throwing the jab while McCaskill kept coming forward with the uppercut. The crowd cheered as the final bell sounded.

All three judges saw it for the new WBC champion. Jessica McCaskill has finally won her first world title in front of the hometown crowd.
