IBF orders Callum Johnson vs Artur Beterbiev
Looks like the IBF has been busy as of late since being turned down by Anthony Yarde and his team. The IBF has now ordered that Callum Johnson (17-0,12KO’s) face The IBF Light Heavyweight Champion Artur Beterbiev.
Beterbiev (12-0,12KO’s) the unbeaten champion has not been in the ring yet, in 2018. He last fought in November of 2017 winning the vacant IBF Light Heavyweight Title, when he stopped Enrico Koelling by 12th round KO. He has also made some promotional changes since then as well.
Johnson is coming off a big victory over Frank Buglioni, where he got the TKO victory in the first round of the contest. Johnson at age 32 does not have the same luxury as Yarde to turn down the fight, so one must assume that he will take it.
3KingsBoxing.Com will keep you guys updated on whether or not Johnson will take his opportunity at a title. As for the champion I’m sure he is eager to get back in the ring.
