Prograis’ first fight as a PBC fighter will have fans in attendance!

This October 31, after one full year of inactivity, highly touted super lightweight boxer Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (24-1, 20 KO’s) will stage his first bout as a PBC fighter. When he does so, he will face the challenge of the undefeated Juan Heraldez (16-0-1, 10 KO’s). And to sweeten the deal, this event will be the first to have fans in attendance since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out.

Fighting in front of a live audience certainly is exciting. However, Prograis is extremely happy to be competing on the PBC platform as he told to Fight Hype.

“I’m really excited about this, it’s a different chapter in my career right now. And I think this platform could really blow me up, really what I need. So I can’t wait bro, I can’t wait for this fight. I been training my ass off even before the whole corona thing. During corona I been training the whole time. So I can’t wait to go out there and do what I do, get back in the ring basically.”

NO TIME FOR SLIP-UPS!

In regards to his opponent Heraldez, Rougarou is not looking past him but is expecting to enjoy a one-sided fight.

“I honestly don’t think that he should be on my level, to be honest. I am a former world champion, I feel like I am the best in the world at 140… he is an okay fighter, he’s a good okay fighter and stuff like that. But it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter who it is right now because I know that he is going to come.”

“If he gets a win against me then he’ll be in line for a title shot. That would be a huge upset and he would be in line for a title shot. I am not putting nothing past nobody. I am not looking at him like he is the fighter that he is right now, I’m looking at him like he is a superstar. That’s the way that I am training right now. I’m looking like I got to just go out there and dominate, I have to put on a spectacular performance.”
