Frank Warren and Shakur Stevenson trade words over Josh Warrington negotiations!
Just when you thought a deal between featherweight champions Josh Warrington (30-0, 7KOs) and Shakur Stevenson (13-0, 7KOs was close, think again!
Queensberry Promotions head and promoter of IBF champion Warrington, Frank Warren blasted the WBO champ for not yet agreeing to a deal that has been offered to him.
In an interview with IFL TV, Warren didn’t mince words on Stevenson and the status of negotiations.
“Our man wants it, where are you? Tell your people to step up and make it happen. May 18th, Elland Road, it’s all there. Don’t keep talking about it on social media, make it a reality.”
It was only a matter of time before the ever so talkative and confident Stevenson responded via his social media!
It’s clear that while negotiations were once going smoothly, both sides have now hit some type of derailment. Going public could hurt or help this fight get done.
Hopefully it’s the latter as both men are unbeaten and have said they’re eager to face off in 2020.
