Tommy Fury accepts Marsellos Wilder’s challenge

The boxing world has settled into the idea of WBC champion Tyson “Gypsy King” Fury and former champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder fighting for a third time. However, there is a potential undercard fight that, if made, would turn out to be a family affair. Tyson’s younger brother, Tommy “TNT” Fury (6-0, 4ko), is up for fighting Deontay’s little brother, Marsellos Wilder (5-2, 2ko) on the undercard of the trilogy fight set for July 24.

During an interview on Queensberry’s The Lowdown show, TNT has been floating the idea around of wanting to face the younger Wilder. Moreover, he believes that it could be a huge fight and sees himself as the victor.

“The fight would make headlines. It would be a privilege to fight on Tyson’s undercard and both of us getting victories.”

Marsellos has not been in the ring since his fourth-round knockout defeat by Dustin Long back in 2019 . However, he still was not going to let this go unanswered and responded via social media.

“Hey, Tommy Fury, keep that same energy when you see me. You are speaking on my name, and your team has not sent me a goddamn thing. I don’t do no capping. I’m a real-life entertainer, boy!”

The younger Fury recently picked up a victory against undefeated Jordan “The Game” Grant (2-1) on June 5. During the post-fight interview with iFL TV, he doubled down when told about Marsellos’ response.

“It is what it is. It’s a great match. It makes sense, let’s get it on. At the end of the day, I got heart to burn, a pair of balls to burn, and I know he (Marsellos) hasn’t, at the end of the day.”
