Jessie Vargas eyeing Adrien Broner rematch or Lamont Peterson clash
The former two-division champion who’ll face Thomas Durlome October 6, is hell bent on becoming a champion again.
He wants a rematch with Adrien Broner and a clash with Lamont Peterson, who both are advised by Al Haymon. Although he’s now aligned with Hearn, Vargas still believes those fights can happen.
Broner hasn’t been in the ring since facing Vargas in April and Peterson hasn’t fought since losing to Spence in January.
This is what he had to say about being on DAZN and securing the aforementioned fights:
“[Being on DAZN has not ruled out the big fights] at all… I can still do the same things… I can fight the tiebreaker with Adrien Broner or go with Lamont Peterson or someone else. The idea, as I’ve always wanted, is to be in the best fights against the best fighters and that’s precisely what we will do here.”
