Deontay Wilder Calls for Andy Ruiz to Talk Less, Do More

Well, former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KO’s) wasted no time in getting back to Andy “The Destroyer” Ruiz (35-2, 22 KO’s). The two have been supposedly inching toward a fight, but their latest public spats indicate no real traction is being made. These verbal scrimmages escalated when Team Ruiz, via Andy’s father Andres Ruiz, accused Wilder of lowballing The Destroyer.

To this, The Bronze Bomber painted the elder as a money hungry sycophant only looking to fatten his son’s pocket to leech from them. As 3Kings Boxing reported, Ruiz defended his father and insinuated he wanted to fight without ever actually committing to it. Clearly the Alabaman picked up on the lack of substance and sought to put an end to the empty chatter.

“We don’t have to go back and forth with all this talking bro; I know what the deal is and the real is, and you know what the deal and the real is as well. The only people mad is you, it’s you guys. I didn’t call you, y’all called us. I didn’t harass you about fighting, you guys harassed us about fighting. We wasn’t in no desperate need of fighting, you guys was in the desperate need of a fight or y’all wouldn’t have never called my phone in the first place.”

“Now [that] it’s time to put it all together, who acting scary? It ain’t me! Because what y’all talk about is unreasonable. Let’s face it and it is what it is. So when you serious, holla at me. Until then, do what you do. Y’all got a lot of weight to lose. You can talk that talk but only a few walk that walk. So if you want to see what a knockout feel like, get your brains splattered, holla at me bruh. I ain’t far.”

YOUR FINAL ANSWER PLEASE?!

Obviously the ball remains in Team Ruiz’s court, as Wilder has drawn his line in the sand by refusing to pony up any more money. Maintaining this stance means Ruiz can either walk away and look for greener pastures or concede to the situation, thereby taking the 25%. Regardless of his decision, let’s just hope that The Destroyer supplies a prompt and definitive answer minus a bunch of social media bluster. No matter what the outcome though, 3Kings Boxing will be here to report the latest developments!
