Austin Williams Envisions Grisly Knockout of Anthony Fowler!

When faced with his most recent in-ring challenge, middleweight prospect Austin “Ammo” Williams (10-0, 8 KO’s) beat up and ran over Javier Francisco Maciel in six rounds. Ammo actually put Maciel down in the first round, but says he took his foot off the gas so that he could get some rounds in. The Matchroom Boxing fighter, who frequently enjoys great time slots on DAZN fight cards, is being moved strategically toward a world title shot down the line.

If given his way though, one opponent he wouldn’t mind testing himself with right now is UK bruiser Anthony “The Machine” Fowler (15-2, 12 KO’s). The two have shared something of an open rivalry for going on two years now. Despite still being rather green to the professional ranks, Ammo has always insisted that he was ready for Fowler now. He’s been telling this to anyone who would listen since 2020. Yet, as he recently told iFL TV, Williams earnestly believes that he will really put the Machine away in despicable fashion.

“I still think it’s a good fight that can be built-up, I think it could be a great showing for both of us and I think we can do some good stuff for both of our careers. But I am definitely going to knock him out. It’s not like I feel like it’s going to be this great fight. I am going to knock him out nasty! It’s going to be coldblooded knockout, crowd wincing and cringing, can’t believe what they see type knockout!

“[…] I will hurt him, I will dismantle, destroy, I mean completely obliterate this guy. So yeah, it’ll be fun for you guys. Y’all will get a show, y’all get a major and nasty knockout, probably one of the best knockouts you’ve ever seen in your life type knockouts. So yeah, that’s what I am going to do to Anthony Fowler.”

TIME TO BUILD

For his part, Fowler is actually coming off a October 9, 2021 eighth round stoppage loss to Liam Smith. Up next, the Machine will try to wash the foul taste of that knockout loss from his mouth with a win over Lukasz Maceic. Fowler and Maciec will collide on February 27. It will be interesting to see what Fowler has to say about these bold declarations made by Ammo Williams.
