Cecilia Braekhus Signs with Matchroom Boxing
Huge news has come to women’s boxing! Eddie Hearn has announced the signing of a multi-fight deal with undisputed women’s welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus with Matchroom Boxing!
Many regard Braekhus (35-0, 9 KO’s) as the best pound for pound Women’s fighter in the sport. A world champion since 2009 and undisputed Welterweight champion since 2014, she’s ecstatic to join the Matchroom Boxing team.

With the undisputed women’s world lightweight champion Katie Taylor, WBO and interim WBC world Featherweight champion Amanda Serrano and WBA/WBC Super Lightweight champion Jessica McCaskill already in the fold, the signing of Braekhus further strengthens Matchroom’s roster of female boxers.
