Caleb Plant Speaks On Why He Slapped Jermall Charlo

Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb “Sweethands” Plant (22-2, 13KO) has finally spoken out on the slap heard throughout boxing on WBC middleweight champion Jermall “Hit Man” Charlo (32-0, 22KO).

Initially, boxing fans thought undisputed junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo was on the video that went viral. However, he swiftly took to social media to set the record straight that Plant smacked Hit Man.

YOU GET WHAT’S COMING TO YOU

Finally, open to speak on the situation, Plant took to social media with details that led up to the incident.

“A man got a right to defend himself. You know a grown man touch another grown man in his face, pulling on his beard real hard. I got the decency to tell you not to do that again; I don’t spazz on you right there. I got enough decency to tell you not to do that again.

The only thing you can reply with is how I’m a bitch ass white boy . . . You immediately grab my face again even harder . . . You started doing all that shit in front of my wife and everybody in the room . . . I done asked you to quit fucking with me.”

If its true, what he is saying, then his actions were justified given Charlo’s behavior. These things tend to happen when you push someone too far.

Plant is coming off a defeat at the hands of two-time champion David Benavidez on March 25. He is still a player in the division with a top-five ranking by the WBC and WBA.

With so much surrounding the situation, fans shouldn’t be surprised if a rumor kicks off that plans are in place for them to fight.
