Errol Spence: 146.75; Carlos Ocampo: 146.5!
We have a fight! Earlier today, the IBF welterweight champion and his mandatory challenger officially weighed-in under the 147 pounds limit.
This will be Spence’s second attempt at defending the title he took from Kell Brook in the UK last May. If Spence should succeed, there is a possibility he could be in line for a unification bout very soon.
One of his possible opponents and newly crowned WBO welterweight champion chimed in on Twitter about the fight:
“Watched Ocampo on YouTube and let me tell you this!!! Spence for the kill!”
As all boxers know, it is not a good idea to overlook your opponent. Therefore, expect Spence to be focused on defending his title and Ocampo to be ready to take it this Saturday!
