Tyson Fury very open to third fight with Deontay Wilder

WBC World Heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (30-0-1, 21 KO’s) and Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KO’s) have fought twice. The first encounter ended in a controversial draw. The second prizefight was a jaw-dropping seven-round massacre of a win for Fury. There was a rematch clause in the contract that would have dictated a trilogy. Wilder wholeheartedly wanted to run it back a third time and The Gypsy King was game. That’s when COVID-19 flipped the whole world upside-down. In the whirlwind of fight cancellations, COVID protocols, and boxing events being denied live spectators, the third fight was thrust into limbo.

Even worse, Wilder began accusing Fury of more cheating than Dirk Dastardly and Muttley in the Wacky Race. Naturally, Fury did not take kindly to the accusations and in retaliation vowed to never fight the Bomber again. The trilogy appeared to be officially dead in the water when Fury began serious negotiations with WBO, WBA and IBF World Heavyweight champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua. The all-UK showdown for an undisputed heavyweight champion was enough to captivate the boxing world and overshadow Wilder’s trilogy. Yet, it now looks like those fight negotiations have broken down as well.

PULLING ZERO PUNCHES!

With no solid fight plans on the horizon, Fury has once again opened himself up to a potential dustup with Wilder. Going a step further, The Gypsy King very vulgarly dared the Bronze Bomber to step up again. In an interview conducted by Fight Hype, while accompanied by his new trainer Sugar Hill Steward, Fury put all heavyweights on notice in extremely WWE fashion.

“Malik Scott is a bitch and so is Deontay Wilder and I will fight both of them, one after another on the same night. And smack ‘em around like the little pussies that they are! You can’t teach an old dog new tricks and once I got his heart and mojo, they’re right here in my pocket. So if you want them Deontay, come and fight The Gypsy King and come take what I’ve got belonging to you!”

“Listen, I am open to all fights, all the heavyweights out there, champions and non-champions alike. There is heavyweight boxing and then there is The Gypsy King boxing and I am lightyears ahead of these mothafuckers!”

There is no doubt that this sound byte will get a great deal of attention and talking started. It will also be fun to see if Wilder responds to the highly disrespectful needling. Yet, after all the entertaining bravado is put to rest, all boxings fans want is a top-notch showdown between elite fighters. Let’s see if that’s what we get, or just premium trash talk. No matter how the cards may fall, 3kingsboxing will be there to report the news!
