Gervonta Davis is potentially looking at up to seven years in prison
As previously reported by 3kingsboxing.com on November 5, “Regular” WBA Lightweight and “Super” WBA Junior Lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (24-0, 23 KO’s) was involved in an automobile accident. Now, Davis has been indicted on 14 counts of traffic violations. If convicted of all the charges, Tank could spend over seven years in prison. Obviously, this is a bleak and unfavorable position to be in!
Back on the night in question, a traffic camera caught Davis’ 2020 Lamborghini Uris running a red light and striking a Toyota Solara. As a result, four passengers in the Toyota had to be transported to University of Maryland Shock and Trauma. To make matters even worse, video surveillance recorded a black Camaro swoop in to pick up Davis and a female passenger before fleeing the scene.
The popular fighter was last in the ring on October 2020 defeating former world champion Leo Santa Cruz. In that bout, Tank scored a sensational one-punch knockout that instantly went viral. Until now, the world was at the Money Team promoted fighters finger tips. Now, with this foreboding cloud hanging over his head, Tank’s future is suddenly precariously in question.
As more information becomes available, 3kingsboxing will be there to report.
