Devin Haney and Keyshawn Davis Have a Flame War on Social Media!
Undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney (28-0, 15KOs) and rising lightweight prospect Keyshawn Davis (6-0, 5KOs) set social media on fire with their recent back and forth. Haney is currently preparing for his rematch with former unified champion George Kambosos on October 16. However, as he knows, being the champ brings a plethora of fighters looking to get their shot.
While Davis is nowhere near ready for a fight with Haney, his good friend Shakur Stevenson (19-0, 9KOs) recently called for a fight with the undisputed champion after defeating Robson Conceiçao. Davis, who’s openly stated he’d never face Stevenson, was extremely happy to hear that the Jersey native wanted Haney next.
Haney, who caught wind of a video showing how happy Davis was, decided to call him out about it on social media. This would lead to a back and forth between the two.
With Haney, Stevenson, and Davis all signed to Top Rank, it’s not farfetched that all these men will at some point lock horns in the squared circle. But, as it currently is, a mega-fight between Haney and Stevenson is brewing! A fight between them in 2023 is almost certainly possible. But for now, Haney has his own business to tend to.
