Kuroda opponent pulls out, but a better opportunity may come!
3kingsboxing previously reported an IBF Flyweight title eliminator between Masayuki Kuroda (30-7-3, 16KO) and Komgrich Nantapech (24-5, 15KO) on November 21st.
We now learned the fight has been cancelled as Nantapech pulled out due to an injury. However, with this bad news could come an unexpected and more lucrative opportunity.
The 32 year-old IBF #5 rated Japanese fighter could see himself finally get the title shot that has eluded him. He will be named the mandatory challenger to face recently crowned IBF champion Moruti Mthalane (36-2, 24KO).
Great news for Kuroda as he has been waiting for another title bout since his defeat back in 2013. He lost a bid for the WBA title against then champion Juan Carlos Reveco.
An official announcement is expected shortly and 3kingsboxing will will provide further updates.
