This becomes evident when the streaming app DAZN, asked one simple question that caused an explosion on Instagram.

This is when things got good.

WBC Lightweight champion “In-recess” Devin “The Dream” Haney (23-0, 15ko) has been busy since being sidelined recovering from shoulder surgery. The youngest active boxer/promoter in history has been in a war of words with anyone around his division.

The Dream has gone after whoever is available to fight, including his old amateur rival Ryan “KingRy” Garica (20-0, 17ko). Then there was former four-divisional champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (33-4, 24ko) and former unified junior welterweight champion Amir “King” Khan (34-5, 21ko).

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that immediately upon seeing this, the talented champion in-recess replied in a way that was going to set it off.

Unified Lightweight champion Vasiliy “Hi-Tech” Lomachenko (14-1, 10ko) is considered by many as the top pound for pound fighter. The ultra-talented Ukrainian couldn’t resist the urge to respond and it snowballed from there.

DAZN/Matchroom Boxing British promoter Eddie Hearn smelling a big money fight added his two cents stirring the pot even more.

Team Haney has made it clear on several occasions their desire of wanting the fight with the unified champion. Moreover, it is a fight that’s a possibility to happen later down the line.

However, before everyone gets too excited, let’s remember that as it stands right now, the unified champion already has a dance partner in IBF champion Teofimo Lopez (15-0, 12ko).

Furthermore, once things settle and business picks back up, Top Rank will have all hands on deck in making that fight a reality.
