Eddie Hearn picks up the Undisputes King in Usyk
Undisputed cruiserweight kingpin Oleksandr Usyk has signed with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom boxing!
This is a huge signing for Hearn who now has the undisputed cruiserweight champion to go along with unified heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua in his stable. Usyk who blew through the WBSS tournament has recently skyrocketed up many P4P lists.
Moreover, one can’t help but to think this could be the precursor to a huge fight between Joshua and Usyk down the road. The cruiserweight has recently expressed wanting to move to heavyweight to challenge the unified champion.
His next fight is expected to be announced soon, most likely against Tony Bellew. However, 3kingsboxing.com recently reported the ordering of Denis Lebedev by the WBA as well.
Whoever they decide to choose, the fight will be Usyk’s debut on Matchroom and DAZN.
For Eddie Hearn this is a huge win and maybe the signing he needed to lure even more big name fighters.
