Izak Carlos to Fight September 26 On DAZN Card in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO — Red Owl Promotions, in association with Blue Corner Promotions, is proud to announce the addition of rising featherweight standout Izak Carlos (5-0, 4 KOs) to their upcoming September 26 event—a landmark boxing card that will mark the first-ever DAZN broadcast from Kansas City.

Carlos, a towering 6’1” featherweight, joins the event alongside his brother Jorge Carlos and stablemate Eric Valencia, both of whom are also signed to manager Ryan Rickey. The event will be a homecoming for all three fighters, highlighting a new wave of talent emerging from the Midwest under Rickey’s leadership.

Valencia and Jorge Carlos recently fought on the Wichita card that featured the highly anticipated return of former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, gaining valuable exposure and continuing to build momentum heading into their next showcase in Kansas City.

A decorated amateur, Izak Carlos was a multiple-time national finalist who qualified for two separate Olympic Trials in different weight divisions, a rare achievement made possible by capturing two nationally recognized tournament titles during his amateur run. Since turning pro, he has compiled an unbeaten 5-0 record, showcasing sharp fundamentals, fight IQ, and an aggressive style suited for the professional ranks.

“This opportunity means everything to me.”

“To fight in front of my hometown on a platform like DAZN, and to do it with my brother and teammate in my corner—it’s something I’ve worked for my whole life. Ryan [Rickey] has opened the door, and now it’s time for me to walk through it.” ~ Izak Carlos

Rickey, who has now made three key signings in the Midwest this year, is confident that Carlos has the potential to be a breakout name in the featherweight division.

“Izak is special.”

“He’s one of the few fighters who can match physical gifts with high-level experience. What he accomplished as an amateur—qualifying for two Olympic Trials in two divisions—is almost unheard of. He’s got the pedigree, the size, and now, the platform to go to the next level.” ~ Ryan Rickey

The September 26 card, presented by Red Owl Promotions and Blue Corner Promotions, represents a watershed moment for boxing in the region. With DAZN’s global reach now entering the Kansas City market for the first time, Midwest fighters like Carlos are gaining unprecedented visibility.

Further details including venue, undercard bouts, and ticketing will be announced shortly.
