Tim Bradley Hopes for A Ryan Garcia Knockout Over Tank Davis!
Hall of Fame Inductee Timothy Bradley still feels that WBA Regular lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (28-0, 26KO) has not fought anyone. Furthermore, he will be cheering for Ryan “King Ry” Garcia (23-0, 19KO) to defeat Davis when they fight.
Bradley has accused the WBA champion of fighting a bunch of nobodies in the past. Tank responded by bringing up Bradley’s lack of punching power during his career.
Bradley was present during commentary for Efe Ajagba versus Stephen Shaw on January 14. Fight Hub TV caught up to the retired fighter, who did not hold back when asked about Davis versus Garcia.
“I think that [Al] Haymon and Mayweather Promotions, they’ve done a great job building him, great job building the brand . . . get in there and fight somebody, bro. Fight somebody that we all know somewhere where we don’t know who’s gonna win the fight. Take that risk.”
BRADLEY WILL BE CHEERING FOR GARCIA
He admitted to not being too high on Garcia but will be cheering for him to knock out Davis.
“I’m no longer going to coddle and say that Ryan Garcia isn’t ready for Tank. I’m no longer going to say that. You know why? . . . He was the guy that stopped [Luke] Campbell.”
“He went down and got up and stopped Campbell . . . which shows his heart, which shows his determination.”
“I’m rooting for him. I want him to win . . . I want Ryan Garcia to knock his ass out.”
Bradley ended by stating that, from a stylistic standpoint, Garcia’s deficiencies could result in him losing the fight. 3Kings Boxing previously reported that the Davis versus Garcia fight is in jeopardy, after the recent tweet by Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya. As of the writing of this article, nothing has changed.
