Tim Tszyu Says the Delay Will Makes his Fight with Jermell Charlo More Interesting

For his second consecutive time, Interim WBC super welterweight champion Tim “The Soul Taker” Tszyu (23-0, 17 KO’s) fought for the thrill of it. If he chose, he could sit on the sidelines and wait for undisputed 154-pound champion Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KO’s) to return to action. Tszyu is next in line for a shot at those quartet of belts after Charlo completely mends his hand. Instead, The Soul Taker prefers to continue to roll the dice in combat as he shared in the post-fight conference,

“It’s part of the sport , it’s part of success! There is no such thing as not taking risks; if you don’t take any risks, then you’re not going to achieve anything. You might as well go do something else with your life.”

TO BE CONTINUED…

Let Tszyu tell it, not only is this what he is supposed to be doing, it’s also making his impending scrap with Charlo that much more captivating.

“It’s good to have two fights in between, I guess, because the fight gets more interesting and interesting. I’m definitely that top dog, just under him; he’s the man, I’ll give him that, and I am just under him.”

Ideally, Charlo will be ready to slide back into the ring soon. At the moment, he has been out of action for one solid calendar year. On the outside looking in, it would seem that enough time has elapsed for everything to be back up to snuff. We shall see in the next several weeks and months. One thing is just about certain: if Charlo doesn’t sign a fight contract with Tszyu, The Soul Taker is certainly not going to sit on his hands waiting!
