Yordenis Ugas eyes Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter winner after WBC title fight
The Cuban Welterweight contender will face Argentina’s Cesar Barrionuevo on the undercard of Garcia Vs Porter. The winner of the WBC eliminator will become the second mandatory.
This will be Ugas’s second fight on Showtime. In his last fight on the network, he won a decision against Ray Robinson.
His opponent Barrionuevo (34-3-2, 24 KOs) will be making his U.S. debut, as he looks to follow in the footsteps of fellow countrymen Marcos Maidana and Lucas Matthysse becoming the next big welterweight star of Argentina.
This is a huge opportunity for both men as a title shot is within both of their grasps. We’ll see in a few weeks which guy will rise to the occasion with so much at stake.
