Deontay Wilder Has Placed Dillian Whyte on the Death List!

On December 7, Anthony “AJ” Joshua (23-1, 21 KO’s) pulled off the impressive feat of defeating Andy “Destroyer” Ruiz Jr (33-2, 22 KO’s) to reclaim his violently usurped titles.

After the victory the boxing media and fans instantly resumed asking when AJ would face WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (42-0-1, 41 KO’s). The two have been on a potential, but unrealized, crash course for years.

THE DILLIAN WHYTE FACTOR

Sadly for boxing fans, there appears to be no end in sight. Joshua has already publicly stated that he has at least two mandatory obligations to satisfy, with Kubrat “The Cobra” Pulev (28-1, 14 KO’s) and Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 KO’s), before he can begin to think about Wilder.

At the same time, the WBC champion has his own rematch to get through with Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (29-0-1, 20 KO’s).

Nevertheless, AJ is not the only evasive UK fighter that Wilder is gunning for. Along with Joshua, Wilder has placed his crosshairs firmly on the head of Dillian “The Body Snatcher” Whyte (27-1, 18 KO’s). Whyte has successfully launched a campaign to essentially try to force the Alabaman heavy-hitter in to a match with him.

The Body Snatcher has accomplished this by saying that Wilder has been avoiding him for nearly two years. The basis in this claim lies in Whyte being the WBC’s #1 contender for the Bronze Bombers belt.

While it is true that he has occupied that status for some time, the Body Snatcher only actually became the formal mandatory challenger with his win over Oscar “Kaboom” Rivas (26-1, 18 KO’s) back in July.

That status was nearly immediately suspended when it was made public news that Whyte had failed a drug test issued by the UK based anti-doping company UKAD.

After an investigation that took nearly five months, Whyte was finally formally cleared of any wrong doing by UKAD the same weekend of Ruiz v Joshua 2. Despite the announcement there are many within the industry who remain skeptical of Whyte’s innocence.

RINGING THE DEATH KNOLL

Regardless of his guilt or innocence, Wilder simply views Whyte as a loud-mouth putting on airs that he tougher than he actually is. Due to the fact that the Bomber does not consider him to be a top tier fighter he is in no rush to face him.

This does not mean that he does want to fight him at all though. In fact, not only does Wilder want to fight him, he wants to plant him six feet deep…literally!

In an exclusive interview conducted with 78SportsTV the Bronze Bomber got very candid on the topic of Dillian Whyte!

“I always say ‘speak it, believe it, receive it and it shall be yours!’ So eventually it’s going to come around to where he is mine, and all that shit, that character, that persona that he tried to be and act like he is just for the camera’s. That’s just for the camera’s, but it’s going to be too late.

“It’s going to be a part where he done met his match against someone greater than him, so bow down fool!

“He try to act to hard when he ain’t,and I can’t wait to fight him. Because he going to be on that death list that I done had a lot of other guys [added] too. But unfortunately it just never happened.

“But he will be on that list because I’m definitely going to try to commit a 187!”

Only time will tell if Wilder ever faces Joshua or Whyte. Yet if they do, clearly the Bronze Bomber is playing for keeps!
