Liam Williams and Chris Eubank Jr trade words!
Top rated middleweight contender Liam “The Machine” Williams (22-2-1, 17KOs) took to Twitter to pique the interest of his fellow British fighters, seeking someone to step in the ring with him. In the process he took a direct shot at none other than Chris Eubank Jr (29-2, 22KOs).
Williams, who’s ranked number two in the WBO rankings, is closing in on an opportunity to challenge WBO middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (29-0, 18KOs) down the line. His last fight was against Alantez Fox, who he stopped in five rounds.
Eubank, also a top rated contender at 160, is coming off of a TKO win over Matt Korobov (28-3-1, 14KOs) in December of 2019. He responded back, which set off a back and forth virtual spat between the two fighters.
TWITTER BEEF!
A fight between these two seems unlikely, as both men are eyeing world title opportunities. Eubank, holding the WBA interim middleweight title, is hell bent on facing WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (30-0, 22KOs) at some point in 2021.
