Demetrius Andrade Expects a Benavidez Fight to Be a War!
For those boxing fans in the know, there is no denying that super middleweight and two-division champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (32-0, 19 KO’s) is an extremely avoided fighter. In fact, despite his skill and glowing accolades he has yet to pen the type of major prizefight that he has craved since turning professional. This is precisely why he is so excited about his pending battle with two-time super middleweight champion David “The Mexican Monster” Benavidez (27-0, 23 KO’s).
Provided that this duel actually does take place, the thought of facing The Mexican Monster has injected a whole new energy and vigor into Andrade, as he explained to Fight Hub TV.
“I’m definitely going into that fight with a full force . . . this is the type of situation I’ve been waiting for for a long time to give me that nitrogen to want to train harder and get prepared. I didn’t have those type of fights. Of course I trained hard because someone was trying to take my head off. But in this situation it’s time to get rolling, rolling!”
“[…] But this situation, it’s like we are going to war! This the opportunity [for] my legacy.”
While he is not old for the Earth, at 35 years of age, Andrade is getting older to be competing at the upper echelons of talent in the boxing arena. Therefore, if he is going to get the career-defining fights that he is aching for, now is the time! So naturally he is excited and hopeful that the Benavidez fight is officially finalized.
Provided that he does step in the ring with The Mexican Monster, this could be the last time gets a shot at the marque showdowns that he’s been craving. This is because there is little doubt that if he suffers his first professional loss, Boo Boo will continue to be blackballed by rivals that he’s chasing. So stay tuned to 3Kings Boxing for the latest developments in the high stakes negotiations between Teams Andrade and Benavidez. And, if we’re lucky, we shall be getting this announcement sooner rather than later.
