Alycia Baumgardner Warns Mikaela Mayer Ahead of Potential Rematch!
Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (14-1, 7KO) has fulfilled her dream of becoming undisputed champion at junior lightweight. With her ideal opponent already lined up for another high profile fight, former unified champion Mikaela Mayer (17-1, 5KO) may get the rematch she wants so badly.

Baumgardner has been chasing top honors at 130 since winning the WBC title off of Terri Harper in 2021. On February 4, in an action-packed firefight against Elhem Mekhaled, she picked up the final piece of the puzzle for undisputed.
MIKAELA MAYER REMATCH COULD BE NEXT
The undisputed champion has stated that a fight with undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor is high-priority on her agenda. However, Taylor is set to rematch undisputed featherweight champion Amanda Serrano next. That opens the door for the rematch of Baumgardner vs Mayer.
The animosity between the two women has reached an all-time high as Mayer has been unapologetic in pursuing a rematch with The Bomb. Baumgardner has appeared open to appeasing Mayer a few times, but made it clear the fight will happen on her terms since she holds all the cards. During the post-fight interview, she acknowledged Mayer, who was in attendance, before issuing a harsh warning.
“Mikaela came here for a reason. I hope she learned something – to know that I’m coming for that ass. Man listen, I’ll knock her the fuck out.”
The boxing community is all-in on wanting to see this rematch, as both women have done a good job of keeping the rivalry alive on social media.
