Canelo Alvarez Sends Harsh Insults Toward Gennady Golovkin!

The bad blood continues with undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (57-2-2, 39KO) towards unified middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (42-1-1, 37KO). Furthermore, he has taken it up a notch by levying harsh insults toward GGG.

Canelo suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of WBA Super light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol back in May. The boxing community was anticipating there was going to be a rematch until reports of the trilogy with Golovkin surfaced. In the beginning, Alvarez was not keen on the idea of the fight and openly admitted not understanding why there was a trilogy. Yet, the normally mild temper of the undisputed Mexican champion has shown an over-the-top vicious side. It is safe to say that the loss to Bivol has made him very mean-spirited, and Golovkin is taking the full brunt of his anger.

Alvarez has been extremely vocal about wanting to knockout his rival and doing so would make him very happy. In an interview with TMZ Sport, Alvarez accused his arch-nemesis of being two-faced and doubled down on getting a knockout.

“My goal is to end this fight before the 12 rounds […] He’s a fucking asshole. He’s not honest. He pretends to be a good person and be different, but he’s not honest. He talked a lot of shit about me, and he said, ‘I respect his career,’ and in another part, he said, ‘he’s embarrassing boxing. He’s now an embarrassment for Mexican boxing.’ In front of me, he says, ‘I respect his career. I respect this and this and this’. I hate the motherfucker because of that.”
