Haney & Ryan Garcia Turn It Up A Notch In Heated Altercation
The boxing community is already getting its money’s worth as WBC junior welterweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (31-0, 15KO) and challenger “King” Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20KO) have gone viral on social media.
After both fighters announced the upcoming showdown on April 20, it didn’t take long for things to get intense.
SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL
King Ry marched across the room and got in the face of the WBC champion. The two went into a lengthy back-and-forth of name calling as they took verbal shots at each other.
“You’re really whack in real life tho. Everybody knows you’re really whack nigga your whack.”
Devin Haney
“We seen that video when Tank beat your ass.”
Ryan Garcia
A fight almost broke out when Garcia pushed The Dream before retreating as people jumped in to break it up. Things continued to escalate as father and trainer Bill Haney was held back by security from getting to the Californian
THE BAD BLOOD IS REAL
Haney took to social media with a request that Garcia don’t run like he attempted to do so in their confrontation.
The Dream still has a sour taste in his mouth from when Garcia walked away from negotiations to fight WBA champion, Rolando Romero. However, he quickly had to turn back around in Haney’s direction when Romero decided to fight Isaac Cruz.
The bad blood is real with these two fighters, as Haney has wanted to fight Garcia for years. Including their amateurs days it marks the seventh time they have fought overall with them both holding 3 wins apiece.
The build-up to this fight has already reached its boiling point as they will need extra security at the upcoming press conference.
