Yunier Dorticos vs Andrew Tabiti has been upgraded to an IBF title bout!
3kingsboxing.com has learned the WBSS Cruiserweight semi-final bout between unbeaten American Andrew Tabiti and former WBA champion Yunier Dorticos will now be contested for the vacant IBF title!
As if this fight wasn’t big enough already, now with the IBF title on the line, this puts added pressure on both men to raise their games to a new level.
This opportunity came after former undisputed champion Oleaksandr Usyk formally relinquished the title to make a move up to the heavyweight division.
The winner of this bout will move on to the final to face the winner of Maris Bredis vs Krzysztof Glowacki WBO title fight. This will effectively make the final match-up a unification bout!
When it’s all said and done the winner of this years tournament will walk with the Ali Trophy and as a unified champion!
