Ephraim Bui Crumbles Ernie Cuevas!

Super flyweight prospect Ephraim “The Effect” Bui (9-0, 8KO) scored a statement-making knockout over Ernie “Lil Kidfire” Cuevas (8-2, 5KO) in five rounds.

The Effect was clicking on all cylinders early while fighting behind the jab, out of the southpaw stance. He fought at a high-volume pace, landing that straight left hand. Despite Cuevas looking to make a comeback, Bui couldn’t miss with those hard countershots.

In round three, Bui picked up the pace and landed a perfect pull-counter left hand that sent Lil Kidfire to the canvas. Cuevas got up and showed some heart by fighting strong until the bell sounded. As the fight continued, the Texas resident continued landing hard power shots that rocked Cuevas. In round five, he landed a one-hitter quitter left hand that sent his opponent crumbling to the canvas. The referee swiftly waved off the fight as the crowd cheered with excitement.

In the post-fight interview, Bui referred to John “Scrappy” Ramirez as Crappy Ramirez in a callout. It was a sensational showing by the young, undefeated fighter who is poised to make a name for himself.
