Tyson Fury Draws A Line at 30% Offer To Team Usyk
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (33-0-1, 24KO) hit back at unified champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13KO) and promoter Alex Krassyuk over purse split negotiations. Furthermore, he stated that for each passing day, there will be a subtraction from the offered percentage.
The boxing world is cringing over the possibility of not getting the undisputed heavyweight showdown. Krassyuk revealed the WBC champion turned down an offer of a 60/40 split to the winner. Furthermore, he explained that if a fight isn’t finalized, the next fight option could be WBA Regular champion Daniel Dubois.
TYSON FURY’S MESSAGE TO TEAM USYK
The Gypsy King has been paying close attention to everything that has been going on and took to social media to address Team Usyk with a ‘take it or leave it’ position.
“I see all this talk of boxing fights. They want 50%, Uysk’s and all this ‘Tyson is being greedy’. Where I’m standing, Usyk, you and your team are worth 30%. You either take it or you leave it, and if you don’t want it, go and fight Daniel Dubois in a couple months and get a few million dollars.”
“You want to make some real money, come and fight The Gypsy King. But, I will say for every day from today that you linger and mess around, I’m going to deduct 1% from the 30% . . . how in the world could you have ever offered me a deal? Not possible! Ticktock, ticktock pussies.”
Things are not looking good on making the undisputed showdown happen as both sides are dug in on what they are willing to accept.
