Ryan Garcia destroys Romero Duno!
Golden Boy prospect Ryan Garcia had a lot of eyes on him given he had just signed a very lucrative contract extension. Many fans wanted to see if he could live up to the money he is set to earn and Romero Duno was supposed to be the toughest opponent of his career.
Garcia apparently didn’t get that memo!
The young California based fighter absolutely destroyed his opponent who stood no chance from the moment the bell rang.
Garcia came out quickly throwing his jab. It wouldn’t be long before the power shots started to rain down on the over-matched underdog.
Duno who was at a three inch height disadvantage tried his best to get on the inside to no avail. Garcia would start unloading hard left hooks and right hands. Once in the middle of the ring a right hand followed by a left hook to the temple was all she wrote!
Garcia made a statement that needed to be made especially considering how much faith Oscar De La Hoya put in him after signing him to a mega million dollar extension.
If this performance is any indication of what’s to come from Garcia then the rest of the lightweight division better be prepared. Yes that means Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez and Gervonta Davis.
The future not only looks bright for Garcia but also for the lightweight division.
