Nicklaus Flaz Brutalizes Luke Santamaria In Six!
Welterweight Nicklaus “La Bestia” Flaz (12-2, 8KO) continues to capture shocking wins. This night, he became the first man to stop Luke Santamaria (14-4-1, 7KO).
Coming off back-to-back victories over undefeated prospects, Flaz was extremely confident going into this fight. He used the jab to perfection and landed solid right hands early in the fight. In the opening round, he landed a wicked right hand that put Santamaria on the canvas.
As the fight continued, the Puerto Rican’s footwork and use of angles kept the Californian off balance. In the middle rounds, Santamaria started finding a groove and went to the body, looking to slow down his opponent. Flaz was the more accurate puncher and won the exchanges when they opted to fight in a phonebooth.
In round six, Santamaria shifted into another gear by coming forward with hard body shots. Then, out of nowhere, Flaz landed a brutal combination that ended with the right hand, putting Santamaria on the canvas again.
When the fight continued, La Bestia went on an all-out body assault that put his opponent down for a third time, prompting the corner to stop the fight.
This version of Flaz has come a long way since that first round knockout against Janelson Bocachica in 2020.
