Mikey Garcia in talks with Manny Pacquiao for a fight later this year!
It appears that Mikey Garcia will indeed jump to 147, but it won’t be for a fight with Errol Spence. Well, not yet at least.
Garcia, of course, has made headlines with his bold call-out of the IBF welterweight champion.
There’s no secret that Garcia has been advised by his father and brother against fighting Spence.
Moreover, as previously reported by 3kingsboxing, Eduardo Garcia (father of Mikey) suggested he look for a fight with Pacquiao instead.
This will no doubt draw the ire of the fans who have been critical of Garcia for calling out fighters then, not taking action.
In addition, this would be a smart move as he would be able to see how he feels at 147 against a dangerous, yet past his prime Pacquiao.
It should be noted that he still says that Spence is the top priority.
