Nietes vs Palicte fight now has a change in location!
Donnie Nietes will take on Aston Palicte for the vacant WBO super flyweight title. This all-Filipino battle was originally scheduled to take place in Cebu City – a city in the Philippines.
This fight will mark Nietes’ super flyweight debut at super flyweight. As part of the super flyweight 2 card, he achieved a thorough, seventh round TKO victory over Juan Carlos Reveco.
Palicte is coming off of a fifth-round TKO over Jose Alfredo Rodriguez in December. Without a doubt, Nietes will be the biggest and toughest fight of Palicte’s career. However, as Nietes is moving up in weight, he will be at a size and age disadvantage in this match-up.
