Peter Kadiru Gets TKO Win Over Eugen Buchmueller Due to Injury

On the undercard of Kabayel vs Lazaridis, undefeated heavyweight prospect Peter Kadiru (8-0, 4 KO’s) won a rather odd TKO win over Eugen Buchmueller (16-6, 13 KO’s). Buchmueller subbed in for Ruben Wolf (5-0, 3 KO’s), who withdrew due to a knee injury.

To begin the bout, both boxers came out tentatively and set up shop behind some rather lackluster jabs. The monotonously paced fight continued until an odd sequence in the second. While squared-up, Buchmueller suddenly took a knee and indicated discomfort in his shoulder.

The referee immediately guided him to the ropes. There, he was inspected by the ring doctor and quickly cleared to continue. Buchmueller would fight on while grimacing until the end of the round where he retired on his stool.
