Tony Harrison returns against Bryant Perrella

Former WBC Junior Middleweight champion Tony “Super Bad” Harrison (28-3, 21KOs) will end a fifteen-month layoff when he takes on former welterweight fringe contender Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella (17-3, 14KOs), on April 17. This is an obvious crossroads fight, as both men are coming off of losses.

Harrison, a native of Michigan, was last in the ring in December of 2019 against Jermell Charlo (34-1, 18KOs), losing that fight and his title by an eleventh round knockout. Prior to that bout, Harrison would win a very controversial unanimous decision to pick up the WBC title over Charlo. That result led to their rematch a year later.

As for Perrella, he will be looking to bounce back himself after losing to Abel Ramos, getting stopped in the very last round of their ten round bout. He would go on next to fight current WBA Welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas, losing that fight by a split decision. Perrella, who will be moving up in weight, will look to make a splash in his new division. As for Harrison, he wants to show that he is still very much a top contender in the junior middleweight division.
