Arturo Cardenas Proves Superior in Jordan Martinez Rematch
In his second bout of the year, super bantamweight prospect Arturo Cardenas (18-0-2, 9 KO’s) plucked up a solid unanimous decision victory. On this occasion, Cardenas defeated Jordan “El Moreno” Martinez (16-1-1, 15 KO’s). This was an especially satisfying win given the fact this was an immediate rematch to their February 28 split decision draw. Cardenas was not able to take the matter completely out of the judges hands. Still, he was able to make it undeniably convincing with the scores of 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93.
For the moment, Team Cardenas is not calling out anyone specifically, now that he is moving forward. The Mexican bruiser is, however, promoted by and confident in his Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn. Backed by the powerful, global fight peddler, Cardenas is hopeful that not only will he stay busy, but that his quality of competition and standing in the sport will only continue to rise.
