Julio Cesar Chavez Jr To Face Mario Abel Cázares September 25
Former WBC World Middleweight Champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr (51-4-1, 33 KOs) is making yet another attempt to resurrect whatever he has left of his career. He will make his return to the ring September 25 to face Mario Abel Cázares (12-0, 6 KOs).
The ten-round light heavyweight contest in will air from Tijuana in a live streaming gala. Tickets for the stream are on sale at superboletos.com.
Chavez Jr. – Cázares is part of a card that will also feature former three-division world champion and Mexican fighting legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. He will take part in an exhibition bout against the former four-division world champion Jorge Arce.
This card will be held behind closed doors and according to Hispanic media source Notifight. The proceeds from the event will go to benefit those in need in Tijuana and Hermosillo, Mexico. Also, the Julio Cesar Chavez Foundation plans to permit scholarships and treatment for children struggling with addiction.
